An Apartment block opposite Arsenal Stadium. After a fire compartment survey conducted by Evolutions Fire. Evolutions Fire were able to completely overhaul the properties risers, car parks, bin stores, utility cupboards, tank rooms and rectify all of the compartmentation defects.
The findings from our report revealed a significant number of defects throughout the block onsite. Thankfully the client were quick to action the remedials from the findings of the report to protect the lives of those who reside within in the unfortunate event of a fire. Every service area throughout the entire project was inspected, rectified and restored to a fire resisting standard proven by tested and traceable materials.
Some of the significant defects were the following;
- Missing Closer devices to Plastic Pipes
- Inadequate Fire Stopping to Communal Corridors, Risers, Electrical Intakes, Tanks, Car Parks
- Missing Intumescent Socket Gaskets to all Corridor sockets
How we Completed
Working closely with the managing agents and the blocks resident association Evolutions devised a phased plan over the span of two years to rectify the block. Ensuring all risers will eventually be rectified in an affordable solution for the home-owners.
The Goal
To rectify all risers with defective compartmentation. In doing so would allow the building to operate as per its fire strategy and provide the nessecary time to escape & for fire services to operate.
Final Results
All the areas identified with defective compartmentation were restored to those that can protect the occupants and building structure in a fire.
