Evolutions were instructed by Propiteer Construction to undertake the installation of a fire resistant barrier between the floors of Brizes Park. A converted statehouse to flats with adjoining residential properties on the site.
The barrier system fitted;
- To all floor voids between joists
- Incorporated any services that penetrated the barrier
- Acoustic Sponge was also fitted as additional sound deadening
- Incorporated downlighter hoods for lights, alarms etc
How we Completed
Conducting the installations by removing the existing floor boards, installing the fire resistant barriers and additional accoustic sponge with the floor boards then reinstated upon completion. Evolutions were self sufficient in the process of installing the required barriers.
The Goal
To install a fire resistant barrier to prevent fire/smoke from penetrating vertically in a listed building.
Final Results
The floors fire performances were upgraded utilising the fire resistant barrier system to each room onsite.
